Welcome! We are serving authentic Indonesian food and cafe specializing in βpenyetanβ dishes.
Niki Echo Cafe is an indonesian restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 2223 S 7th St, Philadelphia, PA 19148, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Philadelphia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ8:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (267) 239-2008. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, nikiecho.com.
Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 121 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded indonesian restaurants in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The sambal was way too spicy and had absolutely no flavor. All I could taste was the spiciness. On top of that, the service was terrible. No one ever came to my table to check if everything was okay with the food or if I needed anything. They also didnβt provide any utensils, such as spoons, plates, or forks. When I paid, the cashier even asked me directly for a tip. Despite the poor service and terrible food, I was still generous enough to leave a $3 tip.

Really enjoyed the foodβeverything tasted amazing, and the service was friendly and on point. The atmosphere can be a little hit or miss though. I noticed a couple maintenance issues during my visits (like the bathroom sink not working and paper towels not being stocked). Nothing major, but worth noting. Overall still a great spot! Street parking. Can be somewhat difficult to park. They have 3 levels of spicy.

Tried Niki Echo Cafe and ordered the iga bakar penyet, ikan goreng penyet, and duck penyet. Everything came out incredible. The flavors were rich and authentic, and each dish was cooked perfectly. Definitely one of those spots youβll want to come back to.
